Sunday Warm-Up - German GP

Williams continued to dominate at the German Grand Prix after Ralf Schumacher topped the times in Sunday's warm-up session ahead of team-mate and pole-sitter for Sunday's race Juan Pablo Montoya.

The Williams duo outpaced closest rival David Coulthard, who was third, just less than two tenths of a second off the younger Schumacher's time.

Michael Schumacher was fourth fastest with team-mate Rubens Barrichello in fifth as the Ferraris continued to lack pace around the fast Hockenheim circuit. Mika Hakkinen finished sixth, with the final German in the field, Nick Heidfeld, in seventh.

Ricardo Zonta was the first man out of the pits as the session began with all but Villeneuve and Button coming out immediately then returning to the pits to jump in their spare cars.

With six minutes of the session gone, Jarno Trulli was forced to park his smoking EJ11 by the side of the track, just before the Ayrton Senna curve and a long way away from the pits.

And just to rub salt in the team's wounds, Zonta, replacing the sacked Heinz-Harald Frentzen in car number 11, spun off in the stadium section just four minutes later.

With the spare already being set up for Trulli, who made it back on track with 14 minutes of the session remaining, Zonta was left without a car and failed to post a competitive time.

Fernando Alonso made Minardi's task a little more difficult when he spun at the Sudkurve and piled sideways into the tyre barrier. Not to be outdone, however, team-mate Tarso Marques had a brief spin at the Ostkurve but continued.

Pedro de la Rosa stopped when a wheel nut came loose and fell off just after the Jim Clarke curve, and Giancarlo Fisichella had a brief spin in the Ostkurve but was able to continue.

Enrique Bernoldi set a surprisingly fast eighth placed time for Arrows, with team-mate Jos Verstappen eleventh despite the low power of the Asiatech engine.

Jacques Villeneuve and Olivier Panis filled out the top ten for British American Racing with ninth and tenth places respectively.
