Shnaider undecided on Midland future

Midland Racing boss Alex Shnaider remains undecided about whether he will sell his team to a group of Dutch investors

Shnaider has been considering an offer of 100 million Euro from Michiel Mol, the founder of Dutch Internet company Lost Boys, to take over the Silverstone-based outfit.

And although autosport.com understands that due diligence on the Midland team was completed on Thursday, pointing towards a sale taking place, Shnaider has made it clear that he does not know whether he definitely wants to sell.

"I have not made a decision yet," he told autosport.com at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. "One day I will wake up and maybe then I will make a decision. I am very indecisive about things that I am passionate about.

"I am thinking about this offer all the time, but it is difficult to decide. The offer is very good. If it was a bad offer then I would not even think about it."

Shnaider said he was not aware of any pressure from Mol to make a swift decision about his future plans.

"You have to ask Mr. Mol about that," he said. "I don't know what Mr. Mol is thinking. I don't know what I am thinking never mind what Mr. Mol is thinking."

When asked why, if he was passionate about his team, he was even thinking of selling, Shnaider said: "The list is too long to say all the pros and cons, but for everything there are pros and cons and they are very close today. That is why I haven't decided yet.

"If one was outweighing the other it would be easy. Passion is one thing and financial things are another thing. It is very hard to decide. One day I will wake up and you will see on the car, there will be sold or not sold."
