By 2009 Formula 1 standards, the Chinese Grand Prix was a relatively tranquil event - yet it still delivered a staggering maiden one-two for Red Bull Racing in difficult wet conditions.
Off-track, two FIA meetings dominated the headlines, as the decision to declare the disputed diffusers legal prompted many to accelerate their development, and Renault's Flavio Briatore to go on the offensive.
The other lingering story was McLaren's forthcoming World Motor Sport Council appearance, and whether the Melbourne scandal had any bearing on Ron Dennis's decision to relinquish his remaining involvement in the team he ran for nearly three decades.
The 2009 rules remained a hot topic too, as KERS usage dwindled to just the McLarens and Nick Heidfeld, and drivers hit out at the shortcomings of this weekend's super soft Bridgestones.
