Schumacher not feeling retired yet

The German, who raced his final Grand Prix last weekend in Brazil, came to Monza today for Ferrari's season-end celebrations, and was meet with thousands of cheering fans in the grandstands.

Asked if today's celebrations felt special because of his retirement, Schumacher admitted he wasn't feeling any different to similar events in previous years.

"Honestly, it's natural that people think [today] must be different for me, what's going on right now. But honestly, it's not," Schumacher said.

"Because if you look at all the last ten years that I've been at Ferrari, it's exactly the same procedure: we finish the season and meet all the fans.

"They mean a lot to us, we get so much support from the fans, and these moments exist to really give back something to all our supporters. And we're just doing a normal [event]."

But the seven-time world champion, who quit racing after sixteen years in Formula One, added that he expects the reality to dawn on him in a couple of months.

"I think the moment I'll start to maybe feel different is maybe in December, when normally I would pick up my routine training and my routine preparation [for the next season]," Schumacher explained.

"And this December, I will think, I can just relax, I don't have to think about how to get ready. But for now, everything is pretty much normal."
