Schumacher: Bad Luck Will Hit Me One Day

World Champion Michael Schumacher admitted on Sunday that he is concerned he may be hit by the bad luck that is currently ruining his Brazilian teammate Rubens Barrichello's season.
Barrichello has failed to finish in four of the five Grands Prix this year, and the fortunes in the team were typified when Schumacher's car failed at the end of the morning warm-up but Barrichello hit problems before the race had begun.
But Schumacher sympathised with his unfortunate teammate after crossing the finishing line at the Circuit de Catalunya to take yet another dominant victory, and admitted to fears that the bad fortune could sway his way.
"You know that one day it's going to hit you," said Schumacher. "Everything that has gone wrong this year so far has gone wrong for Rubens and you can't really think it will always go that way.
"It's really bad luck for Rubens and we will simply try our best not to let it happen."
Schumacher insisted that despite finishing 35 seconds ahead of closest rival Juan Pablo Montoya's Williams-BMW to cruise 21 points clear of the Colombian in the Championship he is still not confident of continuing the dominance.
"There will be circuits which are much more difficult for us," he said. "Here, we know that the Bridgestone tyre works very well, plus our car is simply phenomenal. Aerodynamics, we had something last year which was very good but our engineers really have managed to improve that and that's what you can see very well."
