Red Bull Only Considering Klien, Liuzzi

Christian Klien and Vitantonio Liuzzi are the only two candidates for the second racing seat at the Red Bull team for the 2006 season, according to the team's motor sport advisor Helmut Marko

Marko also said the decision on who will partner David Coulthard will not be taken before the end of the season.

"Coulthard is set as number one, the second seat will be definitely Klien or Liuzzi but nobody else, and the one will be chosen only after this season," said Marko.

Klien and Liuzzi have been swapping the second racing seat this year, the Austrian having taken part in 10 races while the Italian raced four times.

Marko said the driver who doesn't land the racing seat next year will be kept under contract with Red Bull while trying to find him a seat elsewhere.

Marko suggested the new BMW team, with whom Red Bull have good connections, could be an option, while the IRL or Champ Cars series would also be considered.

He said, however, that Red Bull could also consider not renewing the driver's contract after that.

"We cannot guarantee anything as we are not the Austrian republic that has government officials employed for a lifetime," he added.
