Red Bull disappointed by pace

Mark Webber and David Coulthard were among the slowest cars in the first session this morning, in which Coulthard went off into the barrier, and could only improve to 11th and 13th places this afternoon.

Webber says he enjoyed the challenge of the new Valencia street circuit but knows they need to up their game tomorrow to continue their fight to be the fourth-placed team.

"They've done a great job with the track and it's a fantastic facility to drive, but we're not as quick as we'd like to be and we've still got a bit of work to do," he said.

"The first session was very testing, but we improved the car in the second and we've got a lot of data to go through tonight to get ourselves a good grid position tomorrow."

Coulthard added that the track conditions what he expected from a street course.

"It's a typical street circuit in that the rubbered line builds up very quickly but off line you have much less grip," he said. "You don't get that on a normal track so that will make the race interesting if anyone runs wide.

"This morning wasn't so good, but we worked on the set-up and made some improvements for the afternoon, let's see what we can do tomorrow."

The team plan to introduce a 'dust pan front wing' tomorrow to help them to cope with the excessive amount of dust on the circuit.
