Ralf Fastest in Wet Jerez - Day Three

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher continued to set the pace at Jerez, on the second day of testing at the Spanish track.

Williams and Toyota began testing at Jerez yesterday, in preperations for the final round of the 2003 World Championship, next weekend at Japan. However, while yesterday's session was held in dry conditions for most of the day, today's morning session was held on a wet track, and only in the afternoon were the two teams able to run on dry setup.

German Schumacher, who set the fastest time of the day at 1:20.247, had a small spin in the morning on the start/finish straight, ending up in the gravel but without damage to his car. Schumacher will be replaced tomorrow by Antonio Pizzonia.

Toyota continued working on setup solutions for Japan, with Ryan Briscoe at the wheel. Briscoe will be replaced tomorrow by the team's test driver, Ricardo Zonta.
