Raikkonen rules out fighting for win

McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen is under no illusions that he can match Ferrari's pace in tomorrow's Brazilian Grand Prix

The Finn, who needs to win on Sunday to stop his team from finishing the season without a victory for the first time in a decade, will start the race from second position after a strong showing in qualifying.

Raikkonen, however, was over half a second slower than pole-setter Felipe Massa, and the McLaren driver reckons his car will not be fast enough to fight for victory.

"We didn't really know what to expect before the Grand Prix," said Raikkonen. "It is a good result, the Ferrari seems to be a bit too quick for us but hopefully we can fight for the podium, so far it has been a good weekend.

"It was the fastest (lap) in the end of this weekend, so it is the right time to do it. I think there is not much to come, because we are bit handicapped with the second race engine, but it is working well and hopefully we have a good strong race."
