Proud di Montezemolo Praises Ferrari Staff

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo praised the members of the Italian team after they clinched their fourth consecutive constructors' title at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo praised the members of the Italian team after they clinched their fourth consecutive constructors' title at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello led home teammate Michael Schumacher to give the Maranello-based squad an unprecedented 12th Constructors' Championship after a dominant season where they have scored 11 wins in 13 races.

In a race in brilliant sunshine but almost devoid of excitement, Ferrari were on a planet of their own as the two red cars roared to their fifth one-two of the season and sixth successive win. Five-time champion Schumacher had won the last three.

"There are no words which can do justice to a result as important as this one," said di Montezemolo. "I am proud of my people, of all those who work for Ferrari. The credit for this magnificent victory must go first of all to them: the drivers, engineers, mechanics, along with the sponsors and suppliers.

"It is the greatest moment in the history of our company. Ferrari has never been this strong and, as we are a car manufacturer, winning the Constructors' Championship for four years in a row gives us the greatest satisfaction and is a reward for everyone's hard work."

The Italian outfit also became only the second team in history to win four consecutive titles after McLaren did the same from 1988 to 1991.
