Podium places will come, says JV

Jacques Villeneuve is confident British American Racing can follow up its points scoring success in Brazil with more points in San Marino - and maybe even pick up a podium place

Team mate Olivier Panis racked up three points for BAR at Interlagos a fortnight ago, and Villeneuve, the 1997 World Champion, says the team is well prepared for the fourth round of the World Championship.

"The car seems to be working better here than at any other track," said Villeneuve. "A podium finish is definitely possible, especially if it is a race like the last one in Brazil. I think there will be more like them.

"This year, the car has generally been more competitive and the results show it because we have been in the points."

Villeneuve also believes the 3.065-mile track ideally suits the BAR cars. "The car always goes well at this circuit," he continued. "It seems to like it.

"We were in the points this time last year and I think that could be possible this year."
