Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia continued to shine on the second day of testing at the Barcelona circuit, where the Jaguar driver topped the times in the morning session.

Pizzonia, who had posted the second quickest time on the first day of work, lapped nearly two seconds quicker than his previous best from yesterday, as he continued to impress at the wheel of the Cosworth-powered R3C Jaguar.

The Brazilian finished ahead of Italian test driver Luca Badoer, who set the quickest time yesterday with his Ferrari.

Frenchman Olivier Panis was third quickest with the Toyota, while Briton Anthony Davidson was fourth fastest, the British American Racing driver involved in one of the few incidents of the session when he spun off the track.

Brazilian Cristiano da Matta, who also went off the track, was fifth in the second Toyota while Australian Mark Webber finished at the bottom of the times as his mechanics continued to work on his car after yesterday's problems. On Tuesday Webber was unable to set a competitive time after he was hit by problems very early on.
