Jaguar driver Antonio Pizzonia topped the times in the Friday morning testing session for the San Marino Grand Prix as Minardi test driver Matteo Bobbi tested for the first time this season.
Pizzonia produced a quickest lap time of 1:23.099 late in the two-hour session to finish top of the times ahead of the Jordan of Brazilian Grand Prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella.
Italian Bobbi, testing the team's third car, ended at the bottom of the timesheets more than six seconds off the pace. Jaguar's Mark Webber was third quickest ahead of the second Jordan of Ralph Firman while Renault endured a troubled session.
Test driver Allan McNish went off track at turn six early in the session, but was able to continue and his teammate Fernando Alonso also made an error at the same corner. Trulli hit the kerbs and spun into the gravel at turn 15 and Antonio Pizzonia's Jaguar was pushed down the pitlane smoking.
Scot McNish then spun into the gravel at turn 10 after running over the kerbs, while Mark Webber stopped his Jaguar at turn 17 with 20 minutes remaining of the session. Trulli ended fifth quickest, with Alonso sixth and McNish seventh. Minardi pair Jos Verstappen and Justin Wilson ended eight and ninth respectively ahead of Bobbi.
