Pantano Sidelined over Financial Dispute

Jordan driver Giorgio Pantano missed the opening practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend because of a financial dispute with his management company.
Ian Phillips, Jordan's director of business affairs, said that Pantano was attempting to resolve matters between his family and manager Lars-Christian Brask in order to provide the funds needed to drive in Canada.
"It is something between his family and his management company which needs to be resolved," Phillips said. "I could have a call any minute and I have my phone in my pocket waiting. We will not say what we plan to do if it is not resolved.
"He was here this morning but left because he needed somewhere quiet to make a few phone calls."
Pantano, who has yet to score a point in Formula One, landed the drive with Jordan at the last minute before the season after putting together a deal to pay for the seat for the entire campaign.
If he is unable to resolve the financial dispute, Jordan could promote test driver Timo Glock, who competed in the opening practice session, to the race team alongside fellow German Nick Heidfeld.
