Montagny hopes to race in France
Frenchman Frank Montagny is hoping to keep his racing seat with Super Aguri for his home race at Magny Cours next month
Montagny, who replaced struggling Japanese rookie Yuji Ide at the Japanese squad, is only confirmed for the Canadian Grand Prix as well as the race at Indianapolis next week.
Super Aguri have signed Sakon Yamamoto as their third driver and the Japanese is believed to be in with a chance of replacing Montagny from France onwards to be Takuma Sato's teammate.
But Montagny, back in the Formula One paddock after finishing in second place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend, is still hopeful of keeping the seat for his home Grand Prix.
"I will be there for sure, 100 percent, but I don't know exactly what position it will be," Montagny told a press conference ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. "I hope I will be part of the adventure there in the home Grand Prix, but no one knows that.
"It is difficult to say, I am happy to be a part of it. Let's see what happens next."
