Massa Targets Points Finish

Sauber's Felipe Massa feels he can fight for the points at the United States Grand Prix after qualifying in the top ten

"I'm quite happy. I think that the lap was not too bad," said Massa, who scored his best result of the season in Canada last weekend when he finished fourth.

"It was a good lap. To start in the top 10 is really good for me. I hope I can make a good start and finish in the points.

"I think it will be difficult, but I think we have the possibility to be in the points."

Massa outqualified teammate Jacques Villeneuve, who posted the 12th fastest time of the day to complete a promising day for Sauber.

"[The lap was] nothing special. No mistakes, too clean, so I probably could have pushed a little bit harder," said the Canadian.

Villeneuve also claimed his team were not suffering from any problems with their Michelin tyres.

"I think it's more a combination of car, tyre, set-up issue because the cars that have problems, it's always been two teammates. I think they just chose the wrong tyres for here. We are quite safe with our tyres."
