Massa hoping for change of luck

Brazilian Felipe Massa is hoping for a change of luck at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix after two disappointing races

The Ferrari driver had to start from the back of the grid in Australia after being hit by mechanical problems in qualifying.

He recovered well, however, but could only finish in sixth position.

Massa started from pole position in Malaysia last Sunday, but a poor start and a mistake when battling with Lewis Hamilton put paid to his chances of a podium finish. Massa went on to finish fifth.

"I feel that something is missing, starting from the first weekend I was not very lucky and in the last weekend I didn't make a good start and for sure the biggest problem in the race was the start," said Massa in Bahrain.

"Then it was just a normal race, I had the chance to try and I tried - I am not disappointed to try and overtake Lewis.

"That is not the worst point about the race, the worst point was the start. We see in F1 now it is very very difficult to pass, we see cars sitting behind other cars with no chance. Looking at my start and the pace of Lewis, it was the only chance to get the race back.

"I didn't want to sit there and waiting and finish on the podium, even if it was better than fifth, I wanted to try and get the race back. But something it missing, a bit of luck."

However, the Brazilian is upbeat about his chances for the Bahrain Grand Prix following a positive test at the Sakhir circuit earlier this year.

"I feel positive, we had a very good test here before the start of the season," he added. "The car was behaving quite well, so I feel positive.

"We have a good car and a good package, we have a good team even if something was missing in the first two races. We have a lot of races to go and we can hopefully put it together next time."
