The Jordan team will have to work hard in tomorrow's practice to make up for the lost time in today's session for the Belgian Grand Prix.
Italian Giancarlo Fisichella and Japanese Takuma Sato were both hit by trouble during the day, the Roman driver suffering a problem with the rear damper of his Jordan in the morning session, which was only 30 minutes long due to the delay caused by the fog.
Fisichella wound up 14th fastest while teammate Sato finished right behind in 15th position. The rookie, however, suffered a major engine blow-up during the afternoon session that saw his running cut short.
"Today was not too bad but we should have done more," said Jordan's head of engineering Gary Anderson. "The second session was a bit of a waste of time as we didn't get much accomplished with Giancarlo's car and Takuma lost a lot of time with his engine failure.
"But all is not lost, as we've got reasonable balance for the car and we've run some race set-up and work for tomorrow. Overall, there were no big dramas but we didn't really make good use of the time available."
