Jordan hopes to kick-start season
Eddie Jordan is in a confident mood ahead of this Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix despite his team's false start in Australia
Both Jordan racecars - driven by Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jarno Trulli - retired from last weekend's season opener in Melbourne.
Frentzen was forced out by hydraulic-related gearbox problems, while Trulli retired with engine failure.
Following Ferrari's explosive start to the season - with Michael Schumacher leading home Rubens Barrichello - Jordan will be under the spotlight as it attempts to kick-start its season.
However, team boss Eddie Jordan remains optimistic as his drivers prepare to tackle the anti-clockwise Interlagos circuit.
Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, Jordan said: "We have every reason to feel positive for the forthcoming races.
"Our car is quick. We suffered on the reliability side in Melbourne because we pushed the boundaries of performance in order to find the speed we need to catch Ferrari and McLaren.
"The reasons for the retirements were minor. We have a lot to look forward to."
