Jordan Duo Pleased Despite Boring Race

Indian Narain Karthikeyan was happy to complete his second Grand Prix in a row after finishing in 11th place in today's Malaysian Grand Prix

The Formula One rookie, who considers the Malaysian race his home Grand Prix, said however he had endured a boring and lonely race in his Jordan.

Karthikeyan finished two laps down, one lap behind McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen and one ahead of his own teammate.

"Finishing in 11th position here at Sepang was very good especially because of the hard weather conditions," said Karthikeyan. "The car was very reliable but the race was a bit boring for me."

Tiago Monteiro also made it to the end of the race, in 12th place, and like his teammate the Portugese admitted his race had also lacked excitement.

"It was a bit boring and long for me, as it was like racing on my own," he said. "It is just a pity I lost contact at the beginning. I am very happy both of us finished the second race and we were able to bring a lot of useful information to the engineers."
