Japan Preview Quotes: Ferrari
Michael Schumacher: "We have come to the last act of the championship. Races in Suzuka have always been among my favourites for one simple reason: I love the track because it is, technically, very demanding. This year the circuit has been modified a little and the changes to curve 130R are positive as it is now safer in that section. In the following curve too the improvements increase the possibility of overtaking. Suzuka is a track on which I feel at home and so I can't wait to race on it. As far as the championship goes, in Japan we will obviously be doing our best to win both Constructors' and Drivers' Championship. This is our declared objective. I have to say that things have always gone well for us at Suzuka and I, personally, lived one of the best moments of my career here: the world title in 2000. The memories of that day, the moment I crossed the finish line, are imprinted in my mind. It would be great if something like that could happen again."

Rubens Barrichello: "It is a great circuit and fun to drive. It is a breath of fresh air and gets your adrenaline running. There is always work to do here and you can never tell yourself that there is only one corner to go and you can relax. It is a good way to end the season. It has been a much more competitive year and I think I have made yet another step forward in terms of my own performance and in all aspects of my job. I still regret the race in Brazil most of all, where a win and ten points were on the cards. But in terms of my race pace throughout the season, it has been much better than last year. I think I have to work flat out this weekend, trying to put the car on pole position or at least the front row. I will be trying to win and that is the best thing I can do to help Michael because if I do get the win, Michael does not need to do much to take the title. Michael is very competitive here at this track, so he will be okay anyway. There is no point in just trying to finish seventh or eighth, because we still want to win the Constructors' Championship."
