I'm Not Too Old, Says Schumacher

Six-time World Champion Michael Schumacher says he will walk away from Formula One if his Ferrari team tell him he is no longer quick enough - but feels more good years lie ahead.

34-year old Schumacher has insisted that he will see out the remainder of his contract, which expires at the end of the 2006 season, with the Italian team before contemplating retirement. But the German has said that he will hang up his helmet if Ferrari feel he has lost his pace.

"If someone in the team comes to me and tells me I am not fast enough anymore then that is the time to quit," Schumacher was quoted as saying by the RTL website. "The risk would not be reasonable anymore."

The Ferrari driver, however, believes there are still some years of racing left for him.

"I can still keep up and have a lot of good years in front of me. I feel younger than 34. I am still having a lot of fun too," he added.
