Honda want to build on first win

Honda Racing are looking to take another step forward after scoring their fist win since their return to the sport

Briton Jenson Button scored his maiden Formula One win in last Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix to give the Japanese squad their fist win as a team since 1967. Honda returned to racing under their own name after buying the BAR team at the start of last year.

Honda Racing development president Yasuhiro Wada believes the Japanese team should now build on Sunday's win to mount their challenge for the title.

"I think we still have to move on," said Wada. "Our aim is to be winners and to win the championship. But at this moment we move up one step at a time and maybe we can move onto a different stage now.

"We can build up the confidence. That is a big plus - especially for us."

Wada also praised Button for keeping his motivation intact despite struggling for most of the season.

"Jenson did a good job, he was very well motivated," added Wada. "From the beginning of this season we couldn't give him a car to work with, but now it is working really well."
