Honda sure they will find more speed

With Jenson Button urging his outfit to find more speed from their RA106 after they were outclassed by Renault in Malaysia, Willis has said he is bullish that the team have what they need to lift their game.

"Renault are pretty strong at the moment and we do need to find more speed," said Willis. "But that is something the team have proved to be good at in the past - and we do have developments coming."

Button said after seeing Renault finish 1-2 in Malaysia that he felt the team were well clear of the opposition.

"Obviously we want to be winning races and so just being on the podium is disappointing," said Button. "But I think these two (Fisichella and Fernando Alonso) have proved just how quick the Renault is, especially around this circuit, and that is what we have got to try and achieve.

"We are just not quick enough at the moment. I did get held up by Scott Speed by quite a big margin, quite a few seconds, just before I had my second stop which cost me a lot of time and maybe that was enough to come out of the pits in front of Fernando, I don't know.

"But if you look at the full picture, we are just not as quick as the Renaults."

Looking back on the performance in Malaysia, Willis added: "This result was good and bad. It was good to be on the podium again because the challenge at the front is very strong.

"It was always close with Alonso. He was delayed by traffic and (Juan Pablo) Montoya being in front of him on new tyres hurt us too."
