Heidfeld not happy with his Sauber
There were mixed emotions in the Sauber camp after Friday's two free practice sessions, with Nick Heidfeld far from happy with the handling of his car while Felipe Massa is eyeing a top 10 qualifying slot
The difference was mirrored more in their positions than lap times: Heidfeld was 16th, two tenths, but three places behind Massa.
"As usual we concentrated on race preparation work today, but I´m not at all happy with the balance of my car," said the German. "It lacked stability and felt nervous all round the circuit. A pretty difficult day for me."
Massa did 50 laps in total, which together with Michael Schumacher was the most anyone managed over the two sessions.
"I did a lot of laps today and we were able to do a lot of work for the race. The car was consistent and I was happy with the balance," he said. "My lap time doesn´t look so good, but on new tyres I made a mistake exiting Turn 12 that cost me three-tenths or so, so overall I´m quite happy with what I did."
