Grapevine: Renault to Help Charity Organisation

The Renault Formula One team have joined forces with Oxfam, the international development charity organisation, to raise money for its campaign against world poverty.

The Renault Formula One team have joined forces with Oxfam, the international development charity organisation, to raise money for its campaign against world poverty.

The French squad will provide valuable items, including overalls and car parts, which will be auctioned online at Oxfam's website starting on July 5th and finishing on August 18th.

"I am happy that some of my race wear is going to help Oxfam provide relief to those less fortunate than myself," said Renault driver Jarno Trulli. "As a Formula One driver, you frequently travel to countries where you see poverty first hand. I hope that people will bid generously for these items."

The auctioned objects include Jenson Button's and Trulli's overalls, other items of clothing, parts from Renault Formula One cars and a VIP visit for two to the Renault technical centre based in Enstone, UK.

"We are delighted to be working with a local Oxfordshire-based company with such an international reach, and one that recognises that Oxfam is best placed to maximise the benefits from the monies raised." said David Bennett, Oxfam's affinity account manager.
