Jaguar's Breakfast Superstar

Jaguar's Breakfast Superstar

Jaguar continued to make the most of their diamond link-up this weekend when they held a photocall on the terrace behind the world famous Casino with Helena Christensen and Wesley Snipes alongside the Jaguar Formula One car, complete with pink 'leaper' decals, and the Jaguar XKR road car used in the James Bond film 'Die Another Day'.

The problem was, it appeared nobody had told the famous superstars from catwalk and screen when to turn up as Christensen did not appear at all and Snipes left Australian Jaguar driver Mark Webber infuriated by failing to turn up at the required 3pm time - because he was still having breakfast. Still, Jaguar managed to make the event a success with diamond-clad models adorning their cars and standing with Webber and teammate Antonio Pizzonia for three hours as members of the public watched and grabbed autographs at the first opportunity.

Football on the Water

The 'Lady in Blue' rocked with excitement on Wednesday night when the yacht's owner, Flavio Briatore, invited drivers Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso to join him and a few guests - including Formula One drivers Mark Webber and Giancarlo Fisichella and Italian MotoGP star Max Biaggi - to watch the Champions League final between Juventus and AC Milan. Alonso, who had seen his beloved Real Madrid drop out of the competition at the semi-final stage, chose to go against his Italian boss and teammate and supported AC Milan and he was thrilled by the whole experience. "This Grand Prix could not have begun in a nicer way," said Alonso. "Monaco is something special, a mixture of glamour and fun. Coming here as a driver is a childhood dream."

Brits Abroad

While the party was rocking in one area of the harbour, Briton Jenson Button moored his boat in a less public position after making the mistake of putting it in front of the paddock entrance in previous years. But it is understood that a couple of other people had the same idea - including fellow 'Brits Abroad' David Coulthard and Eddie Irvine - so that quiet part of the harbour is unlikely to remain as such for long.

New Motor

Jenson Button is understood to have taken delivery of his latest Honda this weekend - an S2000 convertible to keep him happy on the roads around his Monaco home. Button, just 23, used to drive a Clio when he was at Renault but his deal with the Honda-powered BAR team has come up trumps because when he adds his new acquisition to his driveway it will sit right next to a Honda NSX.
