Grapevine: Cochet Dedicates Korean Win to Prost

Prost test driver Jonathan Cochet was delighted after scoring a dominant victory in the Korean Formula Three Super Prix last Sunday, and dedicated the win to Alain Prost.

Prost test driver Jonathan Cochet was delighted after scoring a dominant victory in the Korean Formula Three Super Prix last Sunday, and dedicated the win to Alain Prost.

24-year old Frenchman Cochet, who tested for the struggling Prost team this year, won both heats of the race ahead of Briton Andy Priaulx after starting from pole position.

The young driver dedicated his victory to four-time Formula One champion Prost, whose team went into receivership last week.

"Winning there the way I did, and in front of the best among the young drivers of my generation - most of whom already integrated F1 - was the best way for me to show my skills to drive a single-seater," said Cochet. "This victory is even more important as it happens in a particular moment of Prost Grand Prix's history.

"And I am proud to dedicate this success to Alain Prost, who has shown his total confidence in my talent by electing me as his Formula One team's test driver this season."
