Glock says not feeling any pressure

Timo Glock says he is not feeling any pressure this year now that he has managed to return to Formula One racing

The German driver will race for the Toyota team after clinching last year's GP2 title.

Glock had competed in four Grands Prix with the now defunct Jordan team in 2004, before moving to America and then returning to Europe to compete in GP2.

The 25-year-old says he has already reached his goal, which was return to Formula One, and now is aiming to be able to help Toyota turn their fortunes around and be competitive in the near future.

"For me there is no pressure," Glock said this week during testing at Jerez, where he ended on top of the times yesterday. "I think there was more pressure in GP2 and to get back into F1.

"Now I am enjoying that I'm back in F1 and that I have reached my goal. I just want to be competitive, but I will not be champion this year - that's what I can say straightaway.

"I want to be competitive in the future in F1 and I hope we can turn it around in the next two to three years and make Toyota competitive for the top five or top three.

"That's my goal. It's going to be hard work for everybody, but I think it's not impossible."

Glock added that he has no masterplan about his future in F1.

"No masterplan. First of all we have to see how the season goes and how we can develop the car. I think a masterplan is quite difficult to do in F1. It changes all the time.

"In 2009 the regulations will change completely, so it's quite hard to do a masterplan. I'll just work as hard as possible and we will reach the goal."
