Giancarlo Fisichella Q&A

Giancarlo Fisichella has returned to his roots at Jordan this season, five years after he last drove for the team. The early indications were that Jarno Trulli has got the better of the swap between Italy's two stars, but with Henri Durand now on the team's technical strength Jordan could still make a lot of progress this year, although as ever much depends on what Honda comes up with. In Malaysia Giancarlo qualified a respectable ninth, just behind former team mate Jenson Button but three spots and nearly 0.4s up on Trulli. Adam Cooper spoke to 'Fisi' after qualfying

"Yes, I'm quite happy. It was not a bad session. I had a good balance, and right at the end we did some changes to the car. But I made some mistakes and found some traffic. It was very close, but not bad."

"The car looks OK, but we just need more power. And maybe here the [Bridgestone] tyres are not as good as Australia."

"Yeah. They are pushing. Soon we'll have more power, maybe for Imola, or maybe Brazil. But I'm confident."

"Here it's going to be difficult on tyres, but maybe Brazil is better for us. We just have to get some points. The target here is to score some points and be competitive."

"It's very, very difficult. It's very hot and very humid. When you drive you lose a lot of kilos in weight, but the biggest problem is when you stop running and go into the garage. It's unbelievable."

"I went back to Europe, and I did some very hard training with my trainer. I went very often into the sauna, which is quite similar."

"No, no, I prefer to go back in Europe to see the family. I didn't have a holiday, I just did hard work in training."

"Yes, I'm happy. We still have a lot to do, but there's a good future here."

"Very frustrating! Running just 300 metres was not enough, especially because it wasn't my fault at all. I was a little bit angry with that, but that's motor racing..."
