Frentzen's form continues

Heinz-Harald Frentzen's Formula One fortune's continued to rise as fourth place at Monaco brought him his third points finish in four races for Jordan

The German, revelling in the switch to the Silverstone-based outfit after two difficult years at Williams, had started sixth on the grid but produced the mid-race push he needed to overtake Stewart's Rubens Barrichello in the pit stop.

Frentzen, who was second in Australia and third in Brazil before unluckily missing out on a points finish at Imola, is now fourth in the drivers' championship one point behind the McLaren of world champion Mika Hakkinen.

"I am very happy with the team and myself," said Frentzen, whose displays have overshadowed team-mate Damon Hill. "This was another good result for me. My race was against Rubens and we won that comfortably.'

"The plan had been to keep up with him. I did not expect to be able to take him at the start so we decided that I should just stay close to him and make up the time when he made his pit-stop. As soon as he pitted I was able to pull away. The car and the engine again showed how competitive and reliable we are."
