German driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen has confirmed that he will not be racing at next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix following his exit from the struggling Arrows team last week.
Frentzen and Arrows reached an agreement to release the veteran driver from his contract after last month's German Grand Prix as the future of the Leafield-based squad continues to be in doubt due to the financial problems that saw Frentzen missing the French Grand Prix this year.
The 34-year old was linked with a return to Jordan for the remaining races of the year, but on Tuesday he ruled out competing in Hungary this weekend.
"I'd like to inform you today that I will not be racing this weekend in the Hungarian Grand Prix," Frentzen wrote on his website. "Since I stopped my cooperation with Arrows I am continuing to review my options for the future. I will make my plans public as soon as it is possible."
There are still doubts regarding Arrows's participation at the Hungarian Grand Prix, with some reports claiming that their trucks have been ordered to return to their British headquarters.
