Fisichella: Renault not the only option

Giancarlo Fisichella says he has other possibilities to stay in Formula One if Renault decide to not continue with him

Fisichella's future at the French squad seems more and more in doubt, with team boss Flavio Briatore saying on Monday that Renault will have different drivers in 2008.

The team are aiming to sign two-time champion Fernando Alonso, whom Briatore said was 60 percent certain to return to the squad.

Fisichella admits he doesn't have any news from Renault yet, but he says the French team are not his only option.

"I don't know anything yet," Fisichella was quoted as saying by Corriere dello Sport. "I surely want to race in Formula One, and now I'll take a look around.

"I'm considering other possibilities. There is Renault, there are other teams, but I've not closed a deal with anyone yet."

Fisichella has been linked with a test run with the Force India team at Jerez next month, but the Silverstone-based squad said they have no drivers confirmed for the test yet.
