Ferrari boss remains calm and optimistic

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemelo is remaining calm and looking forward to the rest of the season with optimism, despite the team's terrible start to this season's world championship

World champion Michael Schumacher has failed to finish on the podium for the first three races of the season, and Brazil marked the first time that Ferrari has failed to score a point since the European Grand Prix in 1999.

Di Montezemelo, however, remains confident. "It has been a difficult year so far, we know that, but we still have time to recover," he was quoted as saying on BBC Online. "[The Brazilian GP] was like playing roulette, so for that reason I don't think it's right to be pessimistic.

"The best lap of the race was once again by Ferrari, with a big different between us and the other cars, so that was encouraging. We need to learn our lessons and look forward with optimism, but also remain calm and look at ways of improving."
