F1 teams continue pre-season testing

McLaren will send two drivers to a pre-season test at Barcelona as it continues its preparations for 2000

New test driver, Olivier Panis, will link up with David Coulthard for three days, from December 9 to 12.

The duo both tested last season's McLaren at Jerez a week ago.

Newly crowned international racing driver of the year, Mika Hakkinen, is on extended vacation and is expected to return to action in January.

McLaren will return to Jerez next week.

The Woking-based team will be joined by Jordan and Williams, which will continue testing its new BMW engine.

New Jordan signing Jarno Trulli will also test in Barcelona for three days [December 9-11].

He will be joined by test driver Tomas Enge - who will be in attendance for four days, to conclude the marque's final testing of the year.

A team spokeswoman also stated Jordan would not be testing again until the beginning of February. It plans to launch its 2000 challenger at the end of January.
