Don't forget Rubens, says Todt

Rubens Barrichello deserves credit for helping Michael Schumacher to the world championship, his Ferrari team boss Jean Todt said in Suzuka

The little Brazilian, who has won one race this year as Ferrari recorded the best season in its history, finished fourth in Suzuka.

"With all the attention focused on Michael today we must not forget the great contribution of Rubens Barrichello and test driver Luca Badoer to the result," said Todt.

Barrichello revelled in Ferrari's first drivers' title in 21 years, even though he was not the man winning it.

"I am happy to be here and part of such a special moment," he said. "I am happy for the team, but the happiest man in the world right now must be Michael.

"I feel that all the testing I have done has contributed to this great day for Ferrari. Now I will concentrate on helping them win the constructors' title in Malaysia.

"The start was the crucial part of my race," he added. "Coulthard blocked me and helped others get past and I spent the race battling back from that. Sadly I could not do enough to get on the podium."
