Disappointing Day for Williams Drivers

The Williams team were not able to continue with his top form at the British Grand Prix, and both Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher finished today's qualifying far from the top of the timesheets.
Having scored pole position at the French Grand Prix two weeks ago, the Grove-based team paid the price for a car that was not suited for the Silverstone circuit and Montoya, who was able to outqualify Schumacher for the second time this season, could only manage to set the eighth fastest time more than 1.5 seconds off the pace.
The Colombian driver had a difficult session, missing a big part of it after slightly damaging his race car, and was forced to use the spare BMW-powered FW23. Montoya, however, was happy with his result and thanked his team for their efforts.
"On the first run I hit a kerb on the exit of Becketts and bent a pushrod, so had to get into the T-Car that was set up for Ralf," explained Montoya. "We did a run and made a couple of adjustments and it worked out quite well.
"The car was good, for the start of the final run I managed to get by Jenson (Button) on the last corner and that really helped. I want to thank the guys on both my car and the T-Car for the great job they did for me today."
Ralf Schumacher, who scored his first career pole in France, was unimpressed with his tenth positioning, as he become trapped among a group of drivers on his last lap.
"This qualifying did not go well for me," Schumacher said. "I did my best lap in my second stint and as everybody could see all the other drivers managed to improve at the end of the session. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to do the same as I got stuck in traffic on my last run."
