Davidson confident anti-stall issue sorted

Anthony Davidson is confident that Super Aguri sorted out the anti-stall issues that have marred his first two races this season

The Briton was left stranded on the grid in Australia, and then lost time after his first stop in Malaysia, when the anti-stall system on his SA07 kicked in and delayed him.

After urging the team to look into the matter, amid suspicions that the problems were caused by the system tripping out because of something he was doing, Davidson is happy that they are now on top of it.

"It was something that we have had to work on," said Davidson. "As it turned out it wasn't my fault in the (Malaysia) race, it was just one of those things.

"It is good to be aware of these things and I think we have got it sorted now, so it shouldn't be a problem here."

Davidson thinks that the issues in Australia and Malaysia were completely unrelated, and he has apologized to the team for suspecting they were doing something wrong.

"Yeah they were different," he said. "I jumped to the wrong conclusions - so sorry to the team about that!

"But it is good to highlight different problems and it just goes to prove that you cannot afford to make mistakes in pitstops, as you put yourself out of sync for the race.

"These are the sorts of things I am learning. It is all very well to talk about it before you are in that situation, but to be in that situation is a completely different story."
