Coulthard: 'It'll be a McLaren 1-2'

David Coulthard failed again in his quest for pole position but said he

would still bet on a McLaren 1-2 clean sweep in Sunday's Spanish GrandPrix. The Scot has taken second billing to teammate in all four qualifying
sessions so far this season and in Barcelona on Friday Eddie Irvine
snatched second place as well to demote the McLaren racer to third on the
grid.

Despite Irvine's reputations for fast starts Coulthard wrote off the
maverick Irishman's chances saying: 'I'm more afraid of Eddie's mouth than
his performance.'

Coulthard's long-running bout of misfortunes continued when a suspension
breakage in Saturday morning's untimed practice cost him track time and a
gamble on a set-up change in the hour-long qualifying session destroyed his
chances of pole.

'Eddie is driving well and you have to congratulate him on getting second
place on the grid but still think it could be a McLaren 1-2 tomorrow with
Mika and I fighting it out. '

'I will be really going to go for the start. Being in 'P2' all the time you
are on the dirty side of the track. At least here, with third, I am on the
side I want to be, which has more grip. I tried to change the car at the end to get rid of oversteer and ended up with understeer and then it was too late to go back. It's going to come down to strategy, pit stops and what happens at the
start,' he added.
