Coulthard bemoans lost track time

David Coulthard was left lamenting his lack of track time after being hit by a mechanical problem in second practice for the Belgian Grand Prix

The Red Bull driver stopped on track after a hydraulic failure and could complete only 17 laps on his way to the 13th fastest time of the day.

"There was a problem with the differential pressure which caused a hydraulic failure in the second session," explained Coulthard. "I lost power steering and the gearbox in Eau Rouge and had to park the car.

"It's disappointing, as it's not the first time we've had issues and we need to get laps in to get comfortable with the set up of the car ahead of tomorrow."

Teammate Mark Webber had less problems during his sessions, but the Australian admitted the team will need to find more speed to be competitive.

"The first session wasn't easy for us, but in the second we got the balance of the car closer to where it had been at the test, so it was bit better," Webber, eighth quickest, said. "The car isn't too bad to drive here, but we need to be faster."
