Button: There is More to Come from BAR

Briton Jenson Button believes there is still more to come from BAR's 006 car after failing to shine in today's practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Briton Jenson Button believes there is still more to come from BAR's 006 car after failing to shine in today's practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Button impressed at the Australian Grand Prix two weeks ago, when he finished in sixth position, but today he only managed the 11th fastest time of the day, more than a second off the pace set by McLaren's Finn driver Kimi Raikkonen.

The British driver admitted to be struggling with the balance of his car and said there was still a lot of work to get the maximum from the Honda-powered machine.

"We were able to complete our planned programme with my car, but I've struggled with to get a good balance for most of the day and we haven't been able to get on top of it yet," said Button. "There is more to come from the car, we just have a lot of work to do in order to find it.

"We'll be spending the evening examining the data and trying to get to grips with the problem ahead of tomorrow."

Japanese Takuma Sato did not enjoy a good day and covered very few laps on his way to the 15th quickest time.

"I had a problem with the brakes which compromised my running and I ended the day having completed only 10 laps, which is quite disappointing," said Sato. "We have a lot of work to do this evening and a lot of laps to do tomorrow morning in preparation for qualifying. Generally, a tough day."
