Button feels Honda ready to fight for win

Jenson Button believes Honda Racing are on course to challenge for victory in this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix after Anthony Davidson topped the Friday practice times

Although Button ended the session down in ninth overall, nine places ahead of teammate Rubens Barrichello, he is confident about the team's readiness for the battle ahead.

"The car seems to be really good and we are in good shape," he said. "We still don't know yet how we compare to Renault, but we have had the best winter I've ever had at the team. We are more ready to fight for a win now than we have even been before."

Button believes, however, that windy conditions at Sakhir, allied to varied programmes through the field. made it difficult to predict exactly how competitive Honda's rivals are.

"It is very difficult to tell," he said. "Anthony was quickest, which made us happy, but I think tomorrow is going to be a very interesting day."

Button also paid tribute to third driver Davidson, who will play a crucial role in Honda Racing's Friday activities this year.

"It is great we have got a test driver that we believe in," he explained. "He has got a lot of experience and I trust him."
