Button Angered by Massa's Driving

Briton Jenson Button criticised Brazilian Felipe Massa on Saturday for "stupid" driving during the qualifying session for Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix and claimed that the youngster was deliberately getting in the way.
Massa, who qualified in a surprisingly disappointing 13th place, blocked Button on his crucial final run and also enraged the Briton's Renault teammate Jarno Trulli by blocking two of his qualifying laps.
"I got Massa in the tunnel and I think it was a bit dangerous to be going so slowly," said Button. "He didn't pull over. He was getting in the way of everyone, just driving around slowly in the middle of the circuit.
"I don't know what his game is but it looked like he was doing it on purpose. It was definitely not inexperience - you can't be that stupid, I'm sure... I don't know actually! Normally you can understand, but he was just blatantly driving around on the racing line on his in lap."
Button remained in high spirits despite qualifying in eighth place for Sunday's race around the narrow streets of the Mediterranean principality, but he said the team were not so satisfied.
"It is not horrendous but everybody in the team thinks it is," he said. "I don't think it is too bad. If you look at what we have done in qualifying this is about average, perhaps a bit worse."
The Briton was not surprised that Ferrari had been beaten to pole position, but claimed the performance of the Juan Pablo Montoya's Williams-BMW around the twisty streets was much better than he had expected.
"Everyone says the BMW engine is very good and the car is not much to talk about," Button said. "I think they have proved that it is because to be on pole around here you need a good car."
