BAR's test driver Enrique Bernoldi set the fastest time at Jerez today, where four of the Michelin-shod teams ran a car each, on an artificially wet track.
After five days of intensive pre-season testing, only BAR, McLaren, Toyota and Renault remained for today's test, which saw Michelin tankers water the track to simulate wet weather conditions, allowing the tyre company to extensively evaluate new wet weather compounds.
Bernoldi, who ran the most number of laps - 116 - set a time of 1:25.660, almost a second faster that McLaren's Juan Pablo Montoya, who ran a total of 85 laps and finished second on the time sheets.
The day ran without significant problems, with only Renault's Franck Montagny having two harmless off-track excursions.
Michelin continues to test wet weather tyres at Jerez tomorrow, with only Toyota's Ricardo Zonta and McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen scheduled to run.
