Rubens Barrichello led his World Champion Ferrari teammate Michael Schumacher in a in a dominant one-two in Saturday's pre-qualifying session for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Brazilian Barrichello, who was the 12th car out on track, finished with a time of 1:18.436 - more than one second faster than any practice lap so far - to put himself 0.671 seconds ahead of German Schumacher.

With temperatures of 24 degrees Celsius, the cooler conditions benefited Barrichello's Bridgestone tyres and his time was a massive 1.222 seconds faster than the closest non-Ferrari driver, Brazilian Sauber driver Felipe Massa.

Italian Giancarlo Fisichella claimed the fourth fastest time in the second Sauber to prove the strength of the Bridgestone tyres, which the Swiss team also uses, as he just pipped fifth-placed Japanese driver Takuma Sato, of BAR-Honda.

Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya finished sixth fastest for Williams, with his Brazilian teammate Antonio Pizzonia, under pressure after being criticised for his single-lap runs at the last race in Germany, ending up ninth.

Briton Jenson Button, who topped the final practice session in his BAR-Honda, finished seventh fastest with Italian Jarno Trulli, of Renault, eighth and Finn Kimi Raikkonen closing out the top ten in his McLaren-Mercedes.
