BAR Target First Win after Button's Podium

Team boss David Richards says BAR are now looking for their first Formula One win following another impressive race in Bahrain on Sunday.

Team boss David Richards says BAR are now looking for their first Formula One win following another impressive race in Bahrain on Sunday.

Briton Jenson Button was third again for the Honda-powered team after taking the first Grand Prix podium of his career at the last race in Malaysia. Button finished behind the Ferraris of Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello to elevate himself to third position in the Championship.

"Jenson was simply incredible this afternoon, and now we must aim for that first win," said Richards, who admitted to being surprised by their latest showings.

"Even I didn't expect to be where we are in the Championship as we head back to Europe," he said.

Button has now 15 points in three races, while his team are tied in third position in the Constructors' Championship. Last year, the Briton finished the season with 17 points, two more than what he has scored so far.

"It's fantastic to be on the podium again so soon after Malaysia," said the Briton. "It was a great first race here and a brilliant result for the team. The team have done another fantastic job here this weekend and my thanks to them and Honda for helping to make this result possible again.

"It's great to be lying third in the Drivers' Championship at this stage in the season.

"We're still only three races into our relationship with Michelin so we're still learning a lot about the package but it's really starting to come together now. We'll be focusing very much on what we now need to do to take that next step forward."
