British American Racing boss David Richards is hoping for some rain at Sunday's French Grand Prix, where the Brackley-based outfit will be aiming to score points for the second race in a row.
Canadian Jacques Villeneuve and teammate Olivier Panis benefited from the treacherous weather conditions at the British Grand Prix two weeks ago to finally score their first points of the year with a fourth and a fifth place.
Panis, racing at home this weekend, posted the 11th quickest time of the day in today's session, while Villeneuve finished down in 13th position.
Richards praised the latest Honda engine, and said he was hoping for some rain on Sunday to have a shot at the point-scoring positions.
"Today's session was very much as anticipated and dominated by tyre performance," said Richards. "Honda provided our cars with the latest specification engine; Olivier used his just for Saturday whereas Jacques ran fewer revs so he could use his engine on Sunday as well.
"Both drivers noticed the benefit so this bodes well for the remaining races this season. As for tomorrow, we're getting mixed reports about the weather and, from our point of view, a shower of rain would not be unwelcome."
