Autosport Podcast Q+A: Perez leaves Red Bull and the Tsunoda-Lawson conundrum

Alex Kalinauckas and Kevin Turner join Bryn Lucas for another edition of the Autosport Q+A podcast, where we answer your questions every Wednesday!

On this week’s episode, we react to the news that Sergio Perez is leaving Red Bull after a very disappointing campaign for the 34-year-old.

The Mexican finished eighth in the Formula 1 drivers’ standings, while team-mate Max Verstappen clinched a fourth, consecutive crown and finished 285 points ahead of Perez.

So with that news now confirmed, Alex and Kevin discuss which driver will be promoted from sister squad RB: Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson?

And not just that, but what will be the aftermath for the driver who stays put in Faenza having missed out on a dream move to become Verstappen’s team-mate?

The podcast also features a debate over whether McLaren’s Lando Norris or Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc had the better 2024 season, the chances of Rwanda joining the F1 calendar and if this year was Lewis Hamilton’s worst season in the series.
