Delighted Heidfeld Confident of Scoring Points

German Nick Heidfeld is aiming to add more points to his tally in tomorrow's San Marino Grand Prix after a strong performance in Saturday's qualifying.

The Sauber driver, who has two Championship points after having finished fifth at the Malaysian Grand Prix earlier this year, completed a positive day for the Swiss squad by posting the seventh quickest time of the session behind the drivers from the top three teams.

Heidfeld was delighted with his performance and though he reckoned it will not be easy, he was confident of scoring some points on Sunday.

"I'm really happy," admitted Heidfeld. "Given the strength of the three top teams, seventh place feels as good as pole position. My car was really good today, and I might have gone even quicker if I hadn't lost a couple of tenths on the grass on my best lap.

"It's going to be difficult to challenge the people ahead tomorrow, but I'm confident for the race. I think we'll be okay for some more points."

Teammate Felipe Massa, who had shone during yesterday's practice, had to settle for eleventh position.
