Sunday Warm Up - French GP

Mika Hakkinen put one over his old rival as the McLaren driver beat Michael Schumacher in Sunday's warm-up session for the French Grand Prix by just one-thousandth of a second.

Finn Hakkinen, who will start the race from fourth, posted a quickest lap time of 1:15.428 and beat the challenge of both Ferraris, with Rubens Barrichello posting the third quickest lap.

McLaren's David Coulthard was fourth and Jordan's Jarno Trulli continued his fine weekend with fifth position. Pole-sitter Ralf Schumacher could only post the 17th best time while Williams team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya was 11th.

The Benetton's of Giancarlo Fisichella and Jenson Button failed to show any major improvements despite a new race spec engine, as they ended 19th and 20th respectively.
